Friends! Do you remember when, in the last newsletter, I said, “Pray for clarity for our next location,” or something like that? Ya’ll are powerful. Things are falling into place for our second location and I'm ready to start talking about it.
![]()
We hit our 3-year anniversary this fall, and I am shocked at the level of growth we have sustained. It’s not all roses. Some days, I find myself wanting to throw in the towel and get a normal job. I always circle back to my “why.” Why did I start this business? Because I believe in the healing power of the thermal cycle process, especially when it’s done in community. Almost 8 years ago, I experienced it for the first time, and I said, “Why isn’t this everywhere?!” I really believe it will soon be everywhere. Well, not, like, everywhere-everywhere, but I think in 10 years, a good portion of the United States will have easy access to saunas and cold plunges. It’s very exciting to watch this emerging market grow, and I’m even more excited for the continued healing of our community! As I fumble around to figure out a plan with limited capital, I’m doing my best to avoid the “if you give a mouse a cookie” scenario and keep it simple. (If you haven’t read that children’s book, here’s your prompt to get squirreled: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCDPkGjMBro.) If you're interested in investing, scroll to the bottom of the newsletter for more info. This is my “fake it till you make it” plan of action, and it involves you. Here’s the caveat: sometimes the plan doesn’t always go the way I think it will. So, please hold everything loosely.
Step 1: Sell some stuff, and earn extra money, so I don’t have to borrow as much Step 2: Find an investor to cover the rest Step 3: Build modular spa for second location, and adapt current Connect Wellness location Step 4: Renovate new location site Step 5: Put it all together, and do the Hokey Pokey, i.e., open second location. I think this will happen sometime late spring or early summer of 2025.
If you have a lot of questions/comments about this, like, “Is the original location going away?” or “What will happen to my unused spa credits?” or “I’m an investor, and I’m interested in investing,” sit tight - I see you. I’m hoping to have a Zoom meeting in the very near future where you can ask me these questions, and then we can compile a FAQ for those who couldn’t attend. I have yet to ask my business mentor if he thinks this is a good idea… Lol
Easy peasy, right?!
Hehehehe Now, here are ways to help!
![]() Take this 5 minute survey… We are picking two lucky winners out of the responses for some Connect Wellness spa credits ($200 each!). We ask questions that will help guide our decision-making with the new place. This is your chance to tell me what you want and help me gather feedback to get investors jazzed about our spa.
![]() I want to sell new merch, but I am not a graphic designer! I have learned, long ago, that it is best to stay in my zone of expertise and avoid spending time in something I have no business doing. So, we are having a call to artists! It could be you, or it could be your kid - just get creative. I have created some art prompts - some of them are weird, some of them are free choice, and all of them will come with a prize of spa credits ($300-$500 for every design I pick!). These spa credits can be used towards your membership payments, private sessions, spa sessions for you, spa sessions for others, etc. (It’s almost Christmas, people!) I’m hoping to get about 5-7 new designs that can be used on shirts, notecards and art prints, and maybe other stuff, but maybe not. If your artwork is picked, you can have some say in this. If this interests you, please see the details here… You’ve got 2 weeks. :)
![]() Our private spa is now completely operational - and awesome, IMO. See pictures and book it here! If you keep reading the newsletter, you will find a coupon code to book the private spa with a $40 discount. It has a small wood-fired sauna, two cold plunge tubs, three hot bath tubs, a private changing area with lounge, and is fully fenced. Prices are $240 for evening/weekend sessions and $175 for mid-week sessions. The space is good for groups of five or fewer. We are also testing out our “overflow” method with this area, meaning that if the private spa is not booked, we will open it up for the community soakers to enjoy.
Private Spa Booking Calendar Button is here! Push it! Push it!
![]() Now through November 15th, take $40 off of a private spa session. Evening and Weekend Private Spa promo code is PRIVATEWEEKEND Mid-Week Private Spa promo code is PRIVATEMIDWEEK If you haven’t seen the private spa area or had the opportunity to experience it, now’s your chance. It is the perfect place to unwind by yourself or with your people. You can use this coupon code to book ahead. With the holidays coming up, we typically experience a surge of customers bringing new people to the spa (which we love, obviously). I encourage you to make use of this coupon and schedule a private spa session before the calendar gets tight. We have a 48-hour reschedule policy for the private spa. Save money by booking something now, then adjust to a better time slot if you need to.
November 5th-November 19th, our spa packs will go on sale. The last time we had a sale on our spa packs was in the spring, so I’d suggest buying a bunch (wink-wink). You won’t need a coupon code for this - it will go live on the website on November 5th. Yes, I'm starting this on Election Day because you might need it. :) But let's not talk politics at the spa, OK?!
Pricing will be as follows: 5-pack of spa visits $150 (Regular $175) 10-pack of spa visits $290 (Regular $350) 15-pack of spa visits $425 (Regular $475) 20-pack of spa visits $520 (Regular $600)
December 15th through December 25th, we will run a sale on our e-gift cards - something like $20 off if you spend $100. These are easy stocking stuffers! I’ll send a reminder email when that sale goes live.
Lastly, we will have a Kickstarter sale around the new year with heavily discounted spa passes for the new location and other stuff. The people who pre-purchase spa sessions via Kickstarter will have priority access to booking spa sessions once we open. Yes, you’ll be able to use your current C.W. spa passes at the new place. Details for this will come later.

As we grow, we seem to be always searching for the next human to join our growing team. Now, there is a slick spot on our website for you to see what we are currently hiring for and to connect with us. We also love volunteers who barter their time or talent for spa sessions! Do you like to stack wood? Cool, we want you!
![]() Due to popular demand, we are extending our summertime day passes. For $65, you can spend the whole day with us. We have some cozy places for you to do your remote work, read and relax, places to yoga and stretch, and, of course, you can spa as much as your little heart desires.
![]() We’re finally starting our “events” and “classes” phase of growth. We are not the best at marketing yet, but first up is Jane Graybill’s “Love Your Lymph” class! It’s on Thursday mornings, and I’m told it’s really fantastic. Sorry I haven’t come yet, Jane. :( Our goal is to offer an extremely affordable place for people to dip their toe into teaching. If this sounds like something you’d like to learn more about, email us at info@connectwellness.biz.
![]() Do you like to be naked when you spa? I know there are a few of you out there. We are testing a few clothing-optional sessions in our smaller, private spa during the week. This is a trial, 2-month period to test demand. We have mixed-gender clothing-optional soaks, as well as women-only clothing-optional soaks. See our calendar here! Are you still with me? I know my newsletters can, sometimes, drag on.
But before you go, I need you to know that I'm actively searching for an investor(s). I have a solid business plan for the next six to ten years of growth, a second location semi-locked in, three years of past financials and an established customer base who are loyal fans. I'm ready, Freddy.
My business mentor scratched his head and said, “Wait, you haven’t spent any money on marketing?” It’s true… 🤷🏼♀️. My other business mentor said, “That’s a steep growth curve for being under-capitalized.” Once again, 🤷🏼♀️.
![]() If you have capital, or you know someone interested in investing, please send me an email directly at michelle@connectwellness.biz. Over the next month, I hope to gather all the potential investors and unveil my pitch. The objective is to present at the end of the year with a goal of funding around February. Fingers crossed that I'm able to do a crowd-funding/equity share offering so that we are funded within our Connect community. I am confident that I can take your money and grow it exponentially, while doing good things for people experiencing Connect Wellness.
